INTENSE BATTLE...FOUNDATIONAL ADJUSTMENTS...BROADENING BORDERS

March 18th, 2007

The battle has been verocious ever since returning from the conference in Columbia, South Carolina at Mountain of Worship. That is only to say that the conference was "on target" and God is readying us for His plans. There have been health issues, financial crises, Haitian property difficulties, political unrest in Haitian streets, and communication problems. Three times our schedule has had to be changed for going into Haiti for the Leadership Conference. We are now setting dates for the "invasion". I say invasion because it is not just a "teaching team" that is going, but a "hoard of Angels" that will precede us into Cap-Haitien. We shall noT prevent the Army of the Lord, but will follow their lead to go and share with "Leadership" in Haiti's largest church congregation.

Too often we take the position that such interference is a sign that we should not proceed, however, at "AbbaQuest Ministries" we believe that as long as the door is open, we should make ourselves available. Yet, wisdom is telling us that what is right for some may not be correct for all. God is adjusting our foundations to accomodate His purposes in each of our lives.

The Jim Wilson Evangelistic Association Medical Team trip to "Tabernacle of Praise Church" in Cap-Haitien was a great success. I had to cancel my going three days prior to leaving due to illness. He reported to me the remarkable number of people who received medical attention, and the thousands who received the message of the Gospel. He also told me of the vast need for finances to further the work there with Pastor Ecclesias.

There is a need for a training center to be built where "leadership" preparing for the ministry can be housed and taught on site. Medical teams could be scheduled on a regular basis with a more conducive facility. These much needed teams could be housed and fed on site. The monies spent on hotels and restaurtant food could be better spent "in house" at the church compound so more money could be given to the ministry effort. We have been looking at the possibilities of getting grants to forward the progress of the outreach in Haiti.

We Americans are often afraid we are going to make those on these "poor" fields, "rice Christians", that they will only tell you what you want to hear if they get free "anything". But ministry costs. Benny Hinn reportedly spent $10,000,000.00 in his recent India Crusade to furnish 1000 busses to bring in people at no cost, as well as many other expenses connected to just having the meetings available to hundreds of thousands. You have to take a chance of being taken advantage of by a few in order to reach the masses who are guinely seeking the "Truth".

Ryan Wyatt, "Awakening Glory Ministries", is getting scads of invitations to go to Pakistan and India to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, but without the finances available, the cry for "power evangelism" will go unanswered. Never has the opportunity been more historically set for the demonstration of the power of the Name of Jesus Christ.

We at "Abbaquest Ministries" are now receiving invitations to return to Jamaica after 14 years since our last meetings there. I just returned from Hertford, Westmoreland, Jaimaica, West Indies where I was asked to come and preach the funeral of James Michael Fenton, the gracious father of Lester Fenton, who was our lead Pastor on the island during those nearly 10 years we were taking teams there for mninistry. For nearly four and a half hours, people came to me reminding me of our times there and how they were blessed and sharing their hope that we would come back again. People who were teen-agers then, came to me with their little children asking if I remembered them and asking about the young people who meant so much to them when we took "youth teams" those years ago. All through the years they had not forgotten the message of hope and the outreach of love during those times. It served as a notice to me that efforts made in the Name of the Lord Jesus to these fields are not wasted efforts; that the seeds that are sown are often seeds that take root and flourish, even in the heat of struggle. Barbara and I hope to go to Jamaica in the summer for a long week-end and begin a return to ministry that should result in our being able to have Pastor's conferences there once again.

Pastor Edward Jean from Abundant Life Ministries International in Provendenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands is expected here in the States shortly where we will discuss our coming there to minister the Word of the Lord. He has been desiring my coming for some months but the time has not yet been right. The borders are definitely broadening.

Pray for us my dear Friends. Touch the heart of the Father on our behalf. Speak to Him as children to their "Daddy". He will hear you. He will make a difference in our outcome because you have spoken your heart to Him.

We are His instruments, His hand extended! Let the miracles lift voices of adoration and praise to the Lord. Let Him be worshipped and honored; His name be magnified in all the Earth...especially in every place we step our feet and proclaim His matchless Wonder and Grace.

You are appreciated...and loved.

Dave Toler
